what is jeet kune do?

The word Jeet stands for "intercepting"or "stopping", kune stands for        "fist " and  do stands  for "the way". Therefore,Jeet Kune Do (JKD)gives the word meaning- the way of the itercepting fist.JKD was founded by great film actor Sijo Bruce Lee in the year 1967 when he was living in America.
JKD is an non-traditional form of martial arts ,which is used  for intercepting.Sijo  Lee  was  a great  philosopher and creat JKD using  a scientific  and philosophical approach which has been  proved by demonstrations all over the  world.
Sijo Lee was born on november 27,1940in the year of the dragon, and  died at the  young age of thirty-three in the year of 20 july 1973.

considering  the reality that the overall development of the country is not possible only by the governmental sectorand realizing the need of contribution from the individual,entity and no-governmental organization from each of their part, this Nepal Jeet Kune Do Martial Art Association has been incorporated   and established as a non-governmental organization  and National Sports Councial ,Nepal in order to develop the overall personality of the youths through the sports and youga by promoting the physical and mental health and  also to provide services to the financially deprived general public by conducting  various awareness  programs  related with medical treatment and development.
